I have an idea. . . I will give my eyes a much needed and more than well-deserved break from the computer — they have suffered enough abuse. Now, if I can just convince my sometimes obsessive personality to go along with my brain’s plan. . .

Have a great Friday, y’all. I get my new glasses tomorrow. That should help my strained eyes, but then staying off the computer or at least taking breaks every hour would help more.

Finally, my four more public blogs have had “no follow” removed, and the pathetic thing: it was a cinch once I remembered to copy the few words to remove and use my find key to find them quickly, duh.

Thanks to those that have mentioned it on their blogs and to these four in particular, because I cannot remember the others, too long ago. . . sigh:

And don’t get lost reading all the interesting things they have on their blogs until after you have removed no follow if that is what you wish, because that just added to my procrastination, I got lost in their words.

Now, to remember how to add the logo. Here we go.

I MAY have posted this before, but computer woes continue and I can’t even scan one in because I broke my CD drive so can’t load the software for the new all-in-one. So, since I LOVE this photo anyway, I am posting it. Taken on the Bremerton to Seattle Pugent Sound Ferry on a gorgeous day last year. That is an industrial area in Seattle in the background. (But don’t tell anyone, after all it always rains in Seattle and the surrounding area.) Enjoy!

A simple rant today, but important. Would some designers of parking lots please reconsider their jobs? While they are reconsidering theirs, would those in charge of line maintenance please reconsider theirs as well? At least reconsider the responsibilities you have to public safety.

Parking lot maintenance
: We won’t even discuss giant potholes. Let’s just skip to the lines that are no longer visible or so worn that unless you knew they were there you could never see them. When you have traffic coming in 4 directions, one of which is from a busy road and there are partially visible stop bars, it is basically a crap shoot who, if anyone will stop. And crap is a perfect word to describe it, don’t you think?

Parking lot design
: Let’s see, traffic coming in from a busy road, many of which are making quick left hand turns to beat the cars barreling around the curve that another designer built in a major shopping area. Now, quick, they slam on the brakes, IF they see the stop bar or the sign behind the bushes that someone (oh, the grounds keepers) were allowed to grow tall. Of course, there appears to be stop bars or remnants of signs at three of the four directions. And which one has NO stop bar or sign? Why those just leaving the gas station. Yes, let’s just have them not stop, while the ones rushing in from the main road in an attempt not to get hit try to stop before they crash into a car with a full gas tank on the edge of a gas station. But then since three ways stop, there are those who think the gas station has a sign they just can’t see and go after a brief stop, thinking the other car will stop.

Granted, we are all responsible to be careful, but with as many people fitting onto tiny roads, could you give us all some help, please, by fighting for a safe design?
