I have migrated to Wordpress.org. Look, I’m here!

I am limiting the new posts on this blog to rants and raves, primarily about groups/non-profits, etc. and to my Wordless Wednesday photos. So, there will not be daily posts, with the RSS feed, you would receive the infrequent updates.

My participation in Photo Hunt will continue, but on http://tumbledwords.com — as soon as my camera is repaired.

Thank you to all who visited this blog on Blogger in the past. If you haven’t been here before, browse a few categories before leaving. I hope you check out my other blog as well, http://MeeAugraphie.com.

And yes, some of these categories are being ‘repaired’ now, so it is a bit of a mess, but getting there.

It is so simple with Firefox and the fuss free guidance from Dummies Guide to Google Blogger, formerly known as Beta Blogger for Dummies!

I just backed up two of my blogs, on to do the third, what a good feeling, knowing it is safely stored somewhere, well, at least somewhere other than just where it normally is.

Check out his post here.

I just changed the title of my blog from Shh-speakup to:

Shh? No! Speak up!

to reflect its original purpose. I got carried away with the photos and a few normal posts here and there, so I am taking it back to its roots.

Yes, I am trying to do too much at once, I am a person of extreme, too much or two little, but I am, at least, trying to organize my blogs. I have gone back through March so far, taking out some entries that don’t fit my vision, thought I have left them on the original Shh-speakup for now, I still have to learn how to deal with all that.

Hopefully, this will be the last entry that doesn’t fit the blog’s purpose.

Had I just made that one phone call to understand one little detail these would have gone over days ago, weeks ago. Using Fantastico on my host site, lunarpages, to load Wordpress.org 2.2.1 was easy once I realized what to name the directories. Using the import tab in Wordpress on the admin page brought my blogs over with no problems - so quickly - it seemed impossible - though I did lose a few comments, not sure why, but as much as I love your comments unless someone tells me a quick way to figure it out, I am NOT hunting through them all! And Mr. Murphy, it better not be the most important comments of all! I’ve had enough of your Murphy’s Law stuff recently.

I still have to find instructions to add no follow wherever it needs to be, add back all those cute little (and necessary) linked buttons, and find a template I love love love! Yes, I know I should have transferred just one at a time — but hey, I may have forgotten the directions by then!

I have gotten conflicting info on 301 redirects - anyone with an opinion or facts, feel free to share it please!

There will be changes and experimentation and more of the same - and who knows what I will get done when, but now it all feels like fun again.

So, please move to the new blogs to comment, I will try to get the no follow off (if it’s on??) later today, I think I have to download FTP software first, still learning.

http://shh-speakup.com (that one is changing a lot soon!)
http://rvpoetry.com

(I did not move my poetry blog, meeaugraphie.com to wordpress - yet - because it is on its own domain.)

Still some things about Blogger I like better and they are adding all the time — For a first blog I still prefer them over Wordpress. com - much easier to use!

OK, I shoved aside memories of calling support for PC years ago only to reach an uninterested person that also had no clue - and dialed Lunarpages support. I did have to hold a long time, but the man was nice and fixed my problem - I think. Then I played again, experimented -grin. I now have Wordpress 2.2.1 loaded onto three blogs, but I did completely delete it from the one blog I had already migrated to, this one! I put it in a directory that, by name, should have been for my poetry blog. So, I got brave and dumped it and. . . .

Tomorrow while I brave the heat with no A/C I will transfer those three and if that works, I will buy the FTP client?? for Mac and stare into space again. Of course, I have two different recommendations from two reliable sources - and we know I over think things at times.

(At least in Florida we had A/C — heck of a time to be thinking about breaking records for heat! But I loaded up on Gatorade, water, lemons, ice, and cold foods! I’ve got mini skirts and loose t-shirts ready, strategically placed scrunchies to get my long hair off me, and I’m determined to ward off the heat) I’m locking away the alcohol in case I get tempted - grin.

I hate summer when it acts like a Florida summer! I feel for y’all suffering through it all the time, I remember it only too well! — Our temps are supposed to be about 15 degrees above normal for this time of year. At least it is cool over night!
